Summary
We’ll meet in the left parking lot as you enter The Spruces and stroll north along old roads, once part of a giant mobile home park that was submerged in a flood many years ago. When we reach the Hoosac River, we’ll walk northwest along a peaceful gravel pathway with beautiful vistas of Mt. Greylock on one side and the river on the opposite side. When we reach the town of Williamstown, we’ll meander through a few neighborhoods, stopping for lunch half way at The Spring Street Market. After lunch, we’ll return as we came - burning off the calories we consumed at lunch.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring rain-gear, appropriate footwear (that can get muddy), snacks, water, and also consider bringing hiking poles and cleats/crampons if you may need them or to lend to someone who may need them. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Please check the weather the morning before the hike so you can make sure you have the right clothing & equipment if conditions change.
REACHING US DAY OF HIKE: If you have trouble finding us, will be late, or can't make it, please call/text John R. at 610-733-4157.
