Summary

This is an easy hike that has diverse eco-systems, including a wonderful pond, wetlands, forest, and some cliffs with spectacular views of the Hudson Valley.

AFTER-HIKE POTLUCK LUNCH: Please let us know if you'd like to attend an after-hike potluck lunch 1:00-2:30pm at the lovely home of Ron VanVoorhies, who lives a short distance away in East Chatham. If the weather is nice we'll eat in and around a wonderful carriage house that overlooks his beautiful garden. You could either drop off your food & beverage at 10:40am before the hike or after the hike.

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring rain-gear, appropriate footwear (that can get muddy), snacks, water, and also consider bringing hiking poles and cleats/crampons if you may need them or to lend to someone who may need them. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Please check the weather the morning before the hike so you can make sure you have the right clothing & equipment if conditions change.

REACHING US DAY OF HIKE: If you have trouble finding us, will be late, or can't make it, please call/text Bart at 503-734-6508, Mitch at 413-717-7816 or Ron at 914-625-5043
