Summary

Last fall my sister introduced me to this beautiful private property in Concord which is Harvard's nature preserve and research area.  Please join me for a 4-5 mile walk along the pathways and historic lanes of this hidden gem in the suburbs of Boston.  While its a relatively easy walk/hike, we will be crossing streams and brooks on stones and logs and going through some boggy areas so I recommend wearing sturdy walking shoes/hiking boots.  Bring snacks, plenty of water/beverage of choice and a packed lunch.  I expect we'll be back at the parking lot between 3 & 4PM.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

Parking at the entry point is very limited so we'll meet at the North Bridge Visitors' Center, 174 Liberty Street, Concord MA.  Turn left into the parking lot and park on eihter side just after the bus parking area.  We'll meet at the Major John Buttrick House sign near the stone wall in that area of the parking lot. Directions:

From I-95: Take exit 30B. You will be on Route 2A west.

From MassPike: Take I-95 Exit (exit 14) and follow above directions.

From Route 2: Follow Route 2 to I-95 North. Proceed north one exit to 30B.

Continue on Rt 2A. for approx. 2.5 miles. Bear right onto Lexington Road. Continue for approx. 3 miles to Concord Center. In Concord Center, (in the rotary around Monument Square) take the 2nd right onto Monument St. Continue for approx. 1/2 a mile. Cross the River and take a left on Liberty St. The North Bridge Visitor Center is at the top of the hill on your left.
