Summary
Time for a motorcycle ride in the warmth of the summer season! As a destination, I'd like to suggest Rock River in Williamsville VT. http://www.rockriverpreservation.org/ It is a clothing-optional wilderness area which I have not been to, but have heard great stories! As to the motorcycle portion - people in the eastern/center part of New England will be meeting in Concord NH around 9am Saturday, July 11th on Main Street in front of the state capitol. (We will use Sunday the 12th as a rain date if needed - I'll email all signed up if weather requires it.) We will then proceed to Keene, arriving around 10 where we could pick up any interested riders from the western part of the state. We'll meet on Main Street in front of the Colonial Theater (95 Main St.). From there, we will proceed to Rock River hopefully finding a place to park. I'm hoping we would be there by 11 if all goes well, but not familiar with the route from Keene. So anyone meeting us at the parking area will have to be patient if we are running late. We will then hike up to the gay-friendly portion of the wilderness area - details & directions copied from the GO website below. Sunbathing, swimming & picnicing through the afternoon, leaving mid-afternoon to head back east. Given the nature of the miles traveled and un-knowns along the way, this has to be a loose plan. Non-riders are welcome to show up just for the Rock River portion if interested - hopefully there will be cell coverage to alert anyone if we are running late. Happy to modify the plan with any suggestions from guys experienced in the whole Rock River scene as well - contact me.

Rock River
Rock River, is Vermont's most popular place for gay nude swimming and sunbathing. It's known for being verycruisy. Running into people having sex in the woods is not uncommon. If this is not your scene, just stay near the water. It's known to have a good social atmosphere and everyone seems to look after each other. A popular activity is taking the rocks and building beautiful cairn structures. It's between Brattleboro and Newfane, VT, and has several natural pools. The first pool you reach is the largest, and users may be nude, clothed, a mix of both. As you walk further upstream, you'll come to a second pool, which has probably nudity, but is made up of mostly straight folks. Further upstream, you will come to a third pool, which tends to be all nude and all gay.

Rock River Directions: From Brattleboro, take State Route 30 north. After 7 or 8 miles, when you see the turnoff for Maple Valley Ski Area, continue north on SR-30 for another 1.5 miles, until you reach the Williamsville Road turnoff on the left. The turnoff is just before a large bridge over Rock River. Pull over and park on the east end of the bridge. Cross dangerous SR-30 very carefully, head short way up road, and on right there is a dirt road into camps; some are abandoned and collapsed. Ignore residents, respect their privacy and walk past camps onto dirt path that heads toward the river. Be careful on trecherous rock. Don't carry a lot of gear. Soon you will see clothing optional sign. Take off your clothes and join the men. At large staircase of timbers, go over it, and head down at next staircase. Cross there to path on other side or go onto rapids at next bend where many welcoming naked men can be found. Be prepared to get drenched if you loose your footing in the pool.

Hello Gents - the weather is looking awesome for our ride/hike/sun-catching Saturday! Slight change for me is that I'm camping Saturday night at a men's only campground: http://www.mountainsidenh.com/ The still have a couple tent sites available if you're interested - contact them if so. More later! Gregg
